There are also varieties of trees that provide different flavors for grilling. As a matter of fact, using different tree types will provide you with different taste when grilling. Probably, the most common wood used for grilling will be Hickory. Cherry wood provides a sweet flavor that is often associated with grilled fishes in gas, electric or infrared grill.
